WELCOME you all to this website Nemmadi Sri Lakshminarasimha Trust (R), Bengaluru. The trust is a public charitable trust, established in December 2002 by Mrs. Chandramathi S Rao, Mr. S Subramanya, Mr. P C Mukunda Rao, Mr. M Mohan and Mr. S Krishna Murari to serve the needy people in the society. These people are the Founder Trustees of the trust, as recorded in official documents. However, only Mrs. Chandramathi was presented publicly as the Founder Trustee by the Trust owing to her motherly attitude.
In the beginning, the trustees, use to visit old age homes, schools for the blind and poor students hostels to distribute food, new cloths, medicines and student note books for children. The trust has conducted a successful blood donation camp and a free emission testing camp for four-wheeler vehicles. The emission test was conducted by the trust in collaboration with Mandovi Motors, Bengaluru.
When the trustees were visiting old age homes, they noticed that, most of the old age homes were not providing hygienic food, water and environment to the inmate senior citizens. On seeing the plight of old age homes, it was decided in a board of trustees meeting, to start a decent Senior Citizens Home for the people, who are helpless; and aged 60 years and above.
When Mr. S Subramanya, now Managing Trustee & Administrator of Nemmadi Sri Lakshminarasimha Trust (R), started to search for a suitable building for starting a Senior Citizens Home, no one came forward to let their building, for the reason of "Old age". In the Board of Trustees meeting held, the matter was discussed, in which, the starting of a Senior Citizens Home seemed like a DREAM.
But, Subramanya wanted, the trust to keep a step ahead at the earliest in it's service to the underprivileged people in the society. In the next meeting he confidently declared that, he will construct a house for Senior Citizens Home at any cost in his 30'x40' dimension vacant site in Vidyamanyanagara extension, Bengaluru City. He took loan on interest, to complete the house with a bore well. When the construction was started about 20 years back, the place was in the outskirts of the city. His mother, Founder Trustee Mrs. Chandramathi S Rao is used to ask him every day "When you are starting construction ?" and she is the inspiration for Mr. Subramanya in completing the construction of the house.
The outcome of struggle to construct and completing the house with bore well by Subramanya is the opening of a Senior Citizens Home in 2007 called as "Nemmadi Vishranthidhama" in # 24, Sri Krishna Krupa, 11th Cross, Vidyamanyanagara, Andrahalli Main Road, Vishwaneedam Post, Bengaluru - 560 091. Nemmadi Vishranthidhama means; Nemmadi is Peace, Vishranthi is Rest and Dhama is Place. PLACE of PEACE for REST.
